Selling and Buying in China - how websites help (part 2)

Increased professionalism

This is the second article in the series on how websites can help you working in the Chinese market. The first article is found here

As the global economy has its ups and downs, many businesses and especially in the east cost of China, are struggling to find potential buyers of their products. The common network is exhausted or there is simply no demand. Therefore there is a huge need for reaching new markets all over the world for Chinese businesses. A website promoting your products and business will really make you look more serious.

Exporting from China - your online business card

Common for Chinese business is relationship. Even though in the west we can learn something about this, it will not help you as Chinese sales person reaching overseas markets. I have met lots of Chinese business man that want to sell their products to other countries, but their website is just not good enough to represent themselves.

For example, there is a huge salt business in the province where I live. If you do a search on Google you will find the website - in Chinese English. But the Chinese characters that should appear are just crossed out as they are not recognized by most non-Chinese browsers. Talking with the business manager of another salt business, they share that they really would like to export more. Addressing their website needs, they understand but there are no good solutions in China available' he shared to do it better.

What you should do

First we often help business think through some basic questions:

1. What new emerging market do I want to reach?

2. Who are my customers? How do they communicate? What language do they speak?

3. Do I have enough information online already? Can that information be accessed easily by my potential people?

4. How do I use social media in on my website?

From there I encourage you to make a website targeting the oversees market. This isn't really that complex. But using our services you can have a very basic website for less than 5000RMB and ready in about 1 month. We will help you think through the process on what you want.
