Global Nomad’s double bottom line: profit and benefiting the local community

Located on the Tibetan Plateau in western China, we are a progressive company not only in bringing cost savings to your web development and outsourcing needs, but also with a vision of bringing new opportunities and raising the standard of living in this under-developed area where we’re based.

In an area where good, stable jobs are hard to come by, Global Nomad offers a refreshing alternative to the limited options.  One of the main ways we benefit the community is by hiring qualified locals and providing them with on-the-job training so that they can develop a career right here in the town of Zeku instead of having to move far away from their traditional homeland.  We also donate 5% of our income each quarter to development and education projects in our area.

Joomla!, one of the most popular Content Management Systems worldwide, recently interviewed Global Nomad when they found out that Tibetans are using their open source software to make a living.  Check out the article here!
